Pinterest link not working? Fix the URL first
A valid individual-pin URL is the key to loading the correct video or image. Use these checks to repair the most common link problems.
Quick steps
- 1Open the pin directly in Pinterest.
- 2Tap Share and select Copy link.
- 3Paste the complete link into Pinova without changing it.
- 4If it fails, open the link in a private browser window to test public access.
Recognize a useful link
Pinova needs a link to one pin, not a board, profile, search result, or Pinterest home feed. Full pin URLs generally include /pin/ followed by an ID. Pinterest's pin.it share links are accepted when they still redirect to a public pin.
Why a link stops working
Pins may be deleted, made private, restricted by age or region, or moved behind a login flow. Short links can also be copied incompletely.
- Copy the entire URL, including https://.
- Remove punctuation added after the link in a message.
- Test it while signed out or in a private window.
- Copy a new link from Pinterest instead of reusing an old one.
When the URL opens a board
Select the specific pin inside the board, open it, and copy that pin's Share link. A board may contain hundreds of media items and cannot identify which file to download.
