Pinterest video not downloading? Try these fixes

Work through the most common link, browser, pin-access, and media-format problems before trying the download again.

Quick steps

  1. 1Open the exact video pin and confirm it plays publicly.
  2. 2Copy a fresh link from the pin's Share menu.
  3. 3Paste it into Pinova and wait for the preview.
  4. 4If it fails, try the checks below in order.

Start with the Pinterest link

Board, profile, search, and home-feed URLs do not identify one video. Open the individual pin first. A full link usually contains /pin/ and a numeric ID; a current pin.it share link also works.

  • Remove spaces accidentally copied before or after the URL.
  • Copy the link again if the short link is old.
  • Confirm the pin is public, not deleted or restricted.
  • Try the full pinterest.com pin URL.

Check the browser and connection

Refresh Pinova, update your browser, and retry without extensions that block scripts or downloads. On mobile, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data if Pinterest itself loads incompletely.

  • Allow downloads from pinova.pro.
  • Temporarily disable content blockers.
  • Clear only Pinova's cached site data if an old error remains.
  • Try Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox.

The pin may not contain a downloadable video

Some moving Pinterest posts are animated images, carousels, or story-style content rather than a standard MP4. Pinova can only offer media exposed by the public pin.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Pinterest play it but Pinova cannot download it?

The pin may be restricted, use an unsupported format, or expose playback differently from a public MP4.

Should I submit the link repeatedly?

No. Copy a fresh exact-pin link and troubleshoot the browser before retrying.
