How to download Pinterest images in original quality

Use the pin's direct image file instead of a screenshot to preserve the largest size Pinterest makes publicly available.

Quick steps

  1. 1Open the individual public image pin in Pinterest.
  2. 2Use Share > Copy link, or copy the pin URL from your browser.
  3. 3Paste the URL into pinova.pro and select Download.
  4. 4Review the preview and save the largest available image.

Original quality versus a screenshot

A screenshot is limited by your screen resolution and may include menus, margins, or compression. Downloading the file preserves the dimensions and encoding Pinterest provides.

The available file may differ from the creator's original upload because Pinterest can resize media. Pinova cannot recreate detail absent from the public source.

Choose the right Pinterest link

Open the image itself before copying the link. Board URLs and feed pages contain many pins and do not identify the image you want.

  • Use a public pin that opens outside a private board.
  • For multi-image pins, review each available result.
  • If the link resolves to video, use the video downloader.
  • Do not enlarge a small file and expect new detail.

Save it on your device

On iPhone, use Share > Save Image after opening the downloaded file. On Android, check Downloads in the file manager. On desktop, use the browser's Downloads list.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the creator's untouched upload?

It is the largest file exposed by the public pin; Pinterest may have resized the original.

Why is the image smaller than expected?

The pin may expose only a resized file, or the copied link may not point to the individual pin.

Can I reuse the image?

Downloading does not grant rights. Reuse only content you own, have permission to use, or may lawfully use.
